Ephesians 2:
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in/by the Spirit.
Romans 8:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Exodus 31:3
I have filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God. I have given him the skill, ability and knowledge to do all kinds of work. He is able to design pieces to be made from gold, silver and bronze…
For God to dwell in the temple by His Spirit, His Holy Spirit should have been the ONE to have built it in the first place.
The Spirit’s work in people’s lives is essential; without it, there will be no lasting change in them or anything to show of eternal value. To simply put it this way, the blessed Holy Spirit is the only one who knows the design of God’s building, where each stone needs to be placed, the uniqueness of each stone and the value it brings.
Ephesians 2:10 says
10 For we are God’s handiwork (HIS MASTERPIECE), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
He (the Spirit) also knows how each stone needs to be chiseled into Christ, so that it can become the unique masterpiece it was designed to be.
Without Him and His guidance, we are building aimlessly and blindly, and all our efforts are futile and in vain.
Today, unfortunately many think ministry is about them and have no clue or concept that they have been called (if) with a singular purpose to build God’s temple and nothing else. It is about the people we are called to minister to; on how they are growing into Christ. I must be willing to lay everything down and pay whatever price that is needed for Christ to be formed in them; that they fit in His body and that they reach the place of uniqueness in Christ and in the purpose that He has for them.
The eternal God who was so particular in how His tabernacle was built (to the T) in the Old Testament has not become sloppy as time has gone by. He was extremely concerned about His dwelling place to the minutest of details. He required perfect excellence in working towards the details He provided. That is why He anointed Bezalel. He was filled (full to the overflowing) with the Spirit to accomplish the purposes of God, in seeing the tabernacle built according to God’s design. Our God who is not bound by time, is the same yesterday and forever.
Today, we have so many ministering in the natural, devoid of the Spirit in the body of Christ. Our efforts are not headed and led by Him, and we think we are achieving something by the seeming success in the natural. If they are not Spirit inspired or led, how can they amount to anything.
Even when things are done by the Spirit, it is only to a certain extent and there is self and flesh involved. As a result, the work of God is greatly hindered. We need to people like Bezalel at this hour; people who are skilled to fulfill the work of God with excellence, in the people they are called to.
We need the prophetic Spirit on Moses to be able to see the pattern to God’s temple; his design for the part of the body we are called to. Not just as a whole but God’s design and plan for each individual as they are vital to the fulfillment of the prophecy in Ephesians 2:20:22 for God to inhabit His blessed temple; His people.
Oh, that we would be so full of and led by the Spirit that every word and action would build others up in Christ. If we think people are built up only through sermons or various ministries, we are greatly mistaken. Life lived in the Spirit builds continually, greatly impacting people; more so through our actions than words.
Dearly Beloved, it is important we find our place in the temple of God first; get His perspective for the people we are called to, on how we should see them built and established in Christ. Then, from that place allow His Spirit to govern our lives, so that He can lead us in the pathway where our actions and words will fulfill that! It is that which glorifies Him. It is that which He blesses by His presence and it is that which He will inhabit! Amen and amen!
